Chestnut Lodge is highly praised for its peaceful location, cleanliness, and comfort, with guests enjoying the surrounding wildlife and views. The property is spacious and well-equipped, providing a 'home away from home' experience. Some minor issues with facilities were noted, but the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests planning to return.
Guests consistently mention the property being exceptionally clean and well presented, indicating high standards of cleanliness throughout the lodge.
The lodge is appreciated for its quiet and beautiful setting, with peaceful views and country walks, contributing to a tranquil experience.
The beds are described as comfortable, and the property is spacious, catering well to guests' comfort. However, some guests mentioned thin duvets on single beds, slightly lowering the score.
While the lodge is generally well-equipped, some guests noted the absence of items like an iron, hairdryer, and vacuum cleaner. The availability of an electric car charger is a plus, but clarity on payment was an issue.

Really lovely property in a quiet location. We very much enjoyed seeing the horses, rabbits and various wildlife outside. Property is described as wheelchair accessible, which is partially accurate. The main area is excellent, the bedroom is tricky to manoeuvre in but OK, and the bathrooms aren't accessible as a wheelchair doesn't really fit/there's tiny transfer room. For ambulatory users or those with some mobility, this place is fantastic! It is so calming and we can highly recommend it! Only other issue we had is, in the dark the turning and signage for the property is hard to see, so a light would be helpful.
