Closer still lies the Mid Norfolk Railway, which offers trips from Yaxham to Wymondham.
Coast lovers can be at the stunning North Norfolk coastline in under 45 minutes. Here you will find a string of pretty coastal villages and towns with beaches, quays and salt marshes all ready to be explored. My friend & I had a great few days at alder lodge every thing was there to be used.hot tub was used by us every day what a lovely way to end the day .Sophie & Dan were a lovely couple . Will definitely hope to go back again !!!

Warm and comfortable with a fantastic, comfy bed and an accessible hot tub. The small, enclosed garden felt private and wasn't overlooked at all. The bathroom has a great hot shower, raised toilet, and bath.A couple of quick things to note: the only toilet is upstairs, and the Wi-Fi can be a bit patchy, which might be worth keeping in mind if you have difficulty with stairs or rely heavily on your phone. I have mobility issues but was able to negotiate the stairs. The hosts were on hand to help if any issues arose. It’s set in a peaceful location in the middle of nowhere, with Dereham about a 10-minute drive away, and Norfolk’s famous beaches (with miles of sand and big skies) are only about 45–55 minutes away.The kitchen is well-appointed, and local supermarkets will deliver right to the door, so you don’t even have to go out if you don't want to!Can’t recommend this place enough—thank you to Sophie and family for a lovely stay.
