A visit to Norfolk's wonderful coastline or the Norfolk Broads are not to be missed, or why not enjoy a day trip to Norwich, with two cathedrals, a castle, museums and excellent shopping? The village of Necton is situated between the market towns of Swaffham and Dereham in Norfolk and hosts a welcoming pub with restaurant, a village store with butchers and a post office. Enjoy the Peddars Way and the Norfolk Coastal Path, offering 93 tranquil miles of picturesque Norfolk countryside close by, great for walking, cycling and horse riding. The market town of Dereham is just 6 miles away offering a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants and a local farmers' market every fortnight.

Parking was convenient to the cottage, which is set in beautifully maintained grounds, complete with stream running through gardens featuring a 'Japanese' footbridge. The surrounding area is tranquil, disturbed only by a low hum of traffic along the distant A47 and, in early evening, occasional overhead visitors from nearby RAF and USAF airbases. Our only regret is that we had booked for four nights. It should have been a lot longer to fully enjoy this delightful holiday rental and its wealth of attractions - zoo and Broads - just a short distance away.
