Magical week in a restored windmill in an idyllic peaceful location in Norfolk overlooking fields and meadows and next to a nature reserve. I was on a Butterflies, Wildflowers and Birds with a group of RSPB friends and we were certainly not disappointed with all that the Broads offered, particularly Hickling Broad nearby with its Swallowtail butterflies. Lyndsey and Andrew were very welcoming and helpful, and the pot of local honey was much appreciated. Staying in the Windmill was a joy with all its fascinating details, and although dating back to 1825 it was completely safe in every way and very comfortable indeed. I was slightly concerned beforehand about all the steps/stairs but there were sturdy handrails throughout. My friends wondered how I'd managed to find such a fab holiday home and I think at least one of them will be booking the Windmill next year.! We were blessed with mostly very good weather and I can honestly say this was probably one of the best holidays I've ever had. Who needs to go abroad after all?

A beautiful Mill; we very much enjoyed our stay. The weather was super hot but we were comfortably cool inside at night. The double bed is a very small double bed but we knew that when we booked. There are so many lovely places nearby to visit….enjoyed by us and the dog! The owners were very welcoming and responded speedily to any issues encountered…will definitely return.
