A beautifully styled traditional brick and flint cottage tucked away in the heart of Blakeney, just a two minute walk from the quay. Deceptively spacious and furnished with comfort and quality high on the list, you will find Sea Holly House a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay.
Tucked quietly away from the village High Street, this early Victorian cottage uses neutral coloured furnishings and decor to enhance the character and add a contemporary touch. The overall effect is one of calm and easy charm.
Sea Holly House offers accommodation for up to six guests. On the ground floor you will find a well-equipped galley style kitchen and an adjoining dining hall. The sitting room invites you to relax and settle down with a book or film, day or night, and the wood burning stove will keep you extra cosy when the days turn chilly and the nights draw in. The cottage has three bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor (double) along with an adjacent shower room and the two further bedrooms (king and king/twin) are on the first floor, along with a good-sized family bathroom. There is also a study/snug on the first floor, allowing a quiet space if you wish to read or need somewhere to work. Outside, just a few steps from the back door, is a handy ‘wash house’ with a washing machine, tumble dryer, large fridge freezer and microwave. The secluded west facing garden is fully enclosed and has been attractively landscaped to include a flagstone seating area with garden furniture. There’s a further small cottage garden area with seating near to the kitchen - ideal for enjoying an early morning cuppa.
Sea Holly House is perfectly positioned - only a short walk from the quay, local amenities and a choice of places to eat as well as being an excellent base if you wish to explore further afield. Terrific week at Sea Holly House. A superb base in a very lovely village - probably our favourite in that part of the world. Enjoyed walks (and runs!) ro Cley and back and Morston Quay as well as a bit more off the beaten track at Wiveton Downs and Salthouse Heath. Even swam in the sea at Cley (on a warm, calm day). We have eaten very well including a great Sunday lunch at the Wiveton Bell, a super meal at The Moorings down the road (highly recommended) and great F&C at The Kings Arms, and excellent down-to-earth local. Very good coffee also available locally - we really like Birdies in the car park at the front. A bit further afield Holkham beach/woods great for a walk, and a boat trip to see the seals from Morston Quay was well worth it despite the hard sell. Holt is a nice town with lots of posh shops as well as a great second hand vinyl emporium. I think we will be back.

Very warm! If you're fond of sand dunes and salt sea air... Quaint little cottage here and there... We've been coming to Blakeney for many years, at all times of year and in all weathers. Every season has it's special pleasures. This visit coincided with a special anniversary. We were joined by our lovely family in this very special cottage - Sea Holly House. So welcoming, so comfortable and that extra special treat, a garden. Meals under scented roses and drifts of jasmine wont be forgotten. Many thanks.
