Set in a quiet residential area, yet close to the wide, sandy beach of West Runton, Sea Glimpse is a much-loved, detached holiday home with everything you need for a relaxing seaside break. It is just a short walk from the beach, with shingle at high tide, but soft sand and an array of rock pools when the tide is out. Less well known than the famous ones of Sheringham and Cromer, it provides a more relaxing setting.
The coastline is littered with pretty seaside towns and villages offering great places where you can eat and shop, as well as having beautiful beaches, marshes and quays. Visit Cromer, with its Edwardian seafront and famous pier, or for a change of pace, head to the Norfolk Broads and hire a day boat or join a cruise.
West Runton itself has a shire horse centre, and close by you will also find Amazonia Zoo, several museums, the Thursford Collection (collection of steam engines, organs and fairground attractions), the Mucklebugh Collection (a military museum), numerous National Trust properties and stately homes, not to mention walks and cycle routes galore, and lots of bird watching opportunities. In fact, there’s so much to do, you’re sure to book Sea Glimpse again so you can come back and fit it all in. Beach 800 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

This was a comfortable house in a good location. It was well equpped but some areas of cleaning could be improved and little things such as a welcome pack would have been nice. We also found the lack of binliners a nuisance but the real issue was lack of loo rolls as half a loo roll between 3 adults for a week is certainly not sufficient. Also the cleaners left a note requesting check out time as 09:30 but the main info states 10:00 this needs to be clarified.

A lovely cottage within walking distance of the station, beach, and local shops and restaurants. The cottage is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The only (minor) quibbles were that the downstairs shower was weak (especially compared to the very good upstairs one) so we didn't use it, and the oven (and trays within) needed a clean.The 6 minute train trip to either Sheringham or Cromer was also very useful, and for us (as a family of 4 adults) cheaper and easier than driving and parking in those towns! Sheringham has the North Norfolk Railway, and Cromer the pier. Both with good beaches (although West Runton was a nicer beach anyway)!The Shire Horse Sanctuary at Hillside is a 5 minute walk away and highly recommended for a visit (or two!).

Sea Glimpse is in a perfect location for West Runton. The property is spacious with very comfortable beds. There was everything you could need for a lovely holiday, the garden was extensive with lovely table and chairs to eat outside weather permitting. We only gave 3 stars as the weather changed and was very cold and we were unable to put any radiators on as the system was not working and was unable to be repaired before the end of our holiday which spoilt the week for us . The heated towel rail did not work so no towels after showers could be dried. All the taps around the house are very stiff and difficult to turn on or off. With a little updating to the heating and water system the house would be perfect
