Set in a quiet residential area, yet close to the wide, sandy beach of West Runton, Sea Glimpse is a much-loved, detached holiday home with everything you need for a relaxing seaside break. It is just a short walk from the beach, with shingle at high tide, but soft sand and an array of rock pools when the tide is out. Less well known than the famous ones of Sheringham and Cromer, it provides a more relaxing setting.
The coastline is littered with pretty seaside towns and villages offering great places where you can eat and shop, as well as having beautiful beaches, marshes and quays. Visit Cromer, with its Edwardian seafront and famous pier, or for a change of pace, head to the Norfolk Broads and hire a day boat or join a cruise.
West Runton itself has a shire horse centre, and close by you will also find Amazonia Zoo, several museums, the Thursford Collection (collection of steam engines, organs and fairground attractions), the Mucklebugh Collection (a military museum), numerous National Trust properties and stately homes, not to mention walks and cycle routes galore, and lots of bird watching opportunities. In fact, there’s so much to do, you’re sure to book Sea Glimpse again so you can come back and fit it all in. Beach 800 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

The fridge/freezer didn't work when we arrived. We left it until the next morning but it still wasn't working. We contacted the owners and they said someone would be round to have a look, the person arrived late just to tell us it didn't work. Later we were contacted to say there might be a fridge/freezer in the garage but we had to wait for the cleaner to arrive with a garage key. We struggled and got the fridge/freezer in and luckily it did work but nearly a day wasted waiting for people. The next day we were contacted to say a new fridge/freezer would be delivered and could we wait in. We said we had wasted enough time waiting and the key had to be left. Apparently the cottage had a new fridge/freezer in Oct and Curry's are coming in the new year as it is still under warranty.

This was a comfortable house in a good location. It was well equpped but some areas of cleaning could be improved and little things such as a welcome pack would have been nice. We also found the lack of binliners a nuisance but the real issue was lack of loo rolls as half a loo roll between 3 adults for a week is certainly not sufficient. Also the cleaners left a note requesting check out time as 09:30 but the main info states 10:00 this needs to be clarified.
