  The house was ample size for our party of seven, however there were quite a few things needing some tlc.

  Broken chairs and lamps, shower doors loose, pans that have seen better days etc. We also felt that it wasn’t as clean as it could be under the surface. There is a lot of clutter and personal items scattered around especially in the kitchen. It needs a really good sort out to make the space more neutral for guests rather than feeling like you are borrowing someone’s living space. I wouldn’t expect to find a cupboard full of food, for example or a very unorganised kitchen drawer full of odds and ends. Saying that we made good use of the appliances, the huge dining table and the laundry room. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and the location is ideal for the beach and shops (only 5 mins away). We didn’t use the garden as we felt it was too untidy to really enjoy it. The place just needs a bit of stripping back and updating and it will be ideal for large groups to enjoy lovely Cromer. Having private parking is a bonus! We took advantage of the short drive to sheringham and North Norfolk railway and would recommend a trip to Bewilderwood for children! Amazing place! Also recommend Bucket List for loaded fries only a few mins from the property and also enjoyed a few drinks in Gangway. Another small gripe was that the owner came to start cleaning the house before our check out time and when she realised we were still inside, sat waiting outside the door making us feel rushed. Otherwise, with some small improvements this property is ideal for multi generational families to use as a base for a typical British seaside holiday!

  The properties location gave us a very pleasant surprise. It is was in a privately gated estate, which means it is very quiet and makes you feel secure. The property was beautifully presented with a lovely gift hamper from the owners which contained locally sourced foods. This was a lovely touch and made us feel valued from the outset. The walk to the beach take about ten minutes via the woods or about twenty if you walk by the road. The walk takes you past the lighthouse and down to beautiful sandy beaches. The cottage was everything we required and would recommend it to others with young children.

  The cottage is beautifully appointed throughout, co ordinated, subtle calm colours, comfortable high quality furniture. Excellent attention to the smallest details - decent crockery, cutlery & glassware and a lovely generous welcome pack all cosset the lucky guests. Add decent wi fi, power shower & well thought out kitchen and it’s clear the owners work hard at this- and it shows. We had a wonderful week, relaxing, peaceful and regenerative - couldn’t ask for more. Just one problem - no one wanted to go home! Highly recommended. A Stamford family of 4 & 2 dogs

  We had a very enjoyable holiday and thought the cottage was very comfortable and well-equipped. It was in a very convenient location, being only yards form the sea front and we were glad of the parking space outside. Although the property was in a very convenient location, every morning it was very noisy from about 6am onwards with bin-emptying. The property was generally clean but the bin in the bathroom had not been emptied and had used tissues and cleaning wipes in it. The company was quick to contact us regarding the issue with the drawer under the cooker.

  We had a very enjoyable stay in Rose Cottage.

  Paul was very welcoming and friendly. He gave us some useful information regarding local walks. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The garden neatly maintained and lovely to sit out in in the evening with a glass of wine. Located conveniently within walking distance from Cromer and East Runton and the beautiful woods opposite were perfect for taking the dog for a walk in. I found it really handy that the cottage was very near to local supermarkets. There was lots that we didn’t have time to do & so would love to revisit Rose Cottage in the future.
