Constructed of Norfolk stone and flint, and formally a National Trust property that was part of the Felbrigg Hall Estate, it has been completely renovated and refurbished with love and care to provide a high-quality finish and everything you need for a really special holiday. Boasting two bedrooms, one with zip and link that can be made up as single beds on request, and two bathrooms there is a lovely wood burner to relax in front of in cooler months and a large garden to barbecue in after a long day sightseeing or on the beach.
Lots of adventures await, as this location really is in the perfect place to see all the highlights of Norfolk! Cromer itself has a lovely wide sandy beach, a zoo, a cinema, crazy golf, traditional seaside amusements and of course that famous pier. It is also packed with artisan boutiques, shops, cafés, restaurants and inns so when it comes to a spot of shopping and refuelling you really will be spoilt for choice. If you can tear yourself away from this pretty little town, aptly named the Gem of the Norfolk Coast, you will find a coastline littered with different habitats from sand and shingle beaches to clay and salt marshes, stunning cliff tops to creeks and quays and rolling sand dunes all waiting to be explored. Even better, you are just over half an hour from the heart of Norfolk Broadlands too. Here you can captain your own launch or join a tour and drift along these famous waterways as all the stresses and strains of modern life fall away.
The fine city of Norwich is in easy reach too and you can even take the train from nearby Cromer Station. Add in history galore with the Felbrigg, Blickling, Holkham and Houghton Estates along with Norfolk Heritage Railway, numerous small, local museums and the Thursford Collection, with its Christmas spectacular along with nature reserves, wonderful walks and cycle routes and some breathtaking cliff-top golf courses and you will soon see why this part of Norfolk is so very popular. We have just got home from a weeks stay at Stone Cottage and we mis it already! The cottage was immaculately presented and it was lovely and warm on our arrival. We were very impresed with the high quality of the bedding and towels, a small touch that spoke volumes. The log burning stove was lovely to have going of an evening, it just added to the cosy charm of the cottage, it wasnt necesary to keep us warm as the heating there was more than adequate and we were never cold, even on the frosty mornings. There was plenty of information provided on the local area and places to visit along with a good selection of books and games to choose from we felt incredibly well looked after. Communication from the host was excellent and incredibly friendly. If youre looking for a nice cosy place to stay in Norfolk then I thoroughly recommend Stone Cottage, its well placed for visiting north Norfolk and is like a home from home. We will certainly be re booking again at some point!

We had a lovely stay at Stone Cottage. It was large enough for the two of us, our two teenagers and two dogs. The cottage is beautifully presented and very comfortable with a good sized garden. It is a short drive or 30minute walk out of Cromer, a ten minute drive from Sheringham and walking distance from Felbrigg Hall. Close to many other Norfolk towns and beaches. Despite some wet and blustery October weather we had a really lovely few days.
