Shockingly poor… avoid at all costs! Arrived to a dirty, cold, incorrectly listed property. Spent the first 2 hours of our holiday having to clean, the standard of cleaning (or lack of) that we walked into was what you’d expect from a cheap caravan park! Definitely not what we expected for the price that we paid. Mould in the coffee machine, mould on the window handle in the playroom, carpet covered in dog hair, a games room which had an overwhelming smell of wet dog, thick grease and grime on top of the fridge, black mould in the utility room and a sofa which when the cushions were removed, looked as though it had never been cleaned!! The hot tub could only be used for 3 days out of our week long stay as it wasn’t ready for us on arrival. The owners had no idea how to use the hot tub and had added incorrect levels of chemicals, resulting in several of our guests developing severe skin irritations. The incompetent owners of course didn’t want to know about this and tried fobbing us off to the booking agent. No accountability taken by the owners or the booking agent, both passing blame on each other. A complete disregard for safety!! The property was described on the booking agents website as having 3 en-suites - this was incorrect. It also stated that there was a double sofa bed in the playroom - again, incorrect. The playroom apparently interlinks 2 bedrooms - yet again, incorrect! When we complained to the owners and the booking agents, yet again neither of them wanted to take any responsibility… what a surprise!! We also found exposed wires in the bathroom, no locks on the bathroom doors and light switches that were hanging off the walls. After contacting the booking agent to complain they are yet to correct this property listing. Still can’t believe that the booking agent is even listing this property given all the health and safety issues… it’s a joke!! The only positive note is that we received a large amount of compensation, so please do make sure to complain if you have booked this property and have a bad experience. Perhaps then the booking agent might actually take this listing off their site and the owners will have to fix the issues.
