While it is a village, Mundesley itself boasts lots of places to eat and drink and of course has a wide sandy beach which is considered by many to be one of the best in the area. With all of this just footsteps away, you may be tempted to park up at Driftwood House and spend your whole holiday right there but venture a little further and you will find much to see and do. Head east or west to discover a string of coastal villages and towns including Cromer, with its famous pier and Happisburg with its picturesque lighthouse. Or, head inland and be in the heart of the Norfolk Broads in under half an hour. History Buffs will enjoy exploring the medieval city of Norwich, the Blickling Hall Estate, the Thursford and Muckleburgh Collections or one of the numerous local museums. The young at heart will enjoy a day out at Bewilderwood or Amazonia Zoo and nature lovers will also be spoilt for choice with Cley Marshes within easy reach too. We had a lovely stay at Driftwood House. The house itself was great, in a fantastic location and perfectly placed for enjoying everything Mundesley and the surrounding area have to offer. We really enjoyed the village and would happily consider returning.There were just a couple of things worth mentioning for future guests. The front door was quite tricky to open and could do with some attention. Also, although the rear garden was useful, it wasn't completely enclosed, as the gate didn't prevent our dogs from being able to get out. This is worth being aware of for anyone staying with dogs.Overall, we had an enjoyable stay and thought the house and location were excellent. With a couple of small improvements, it would be even better.

Driftwood House is a lovely property and I would thoroughly recommend to anyone thinking of staying in Mundesley. My family, dogs and I really enjoyed it particularly the hot tub which was great. There were a few maintenance issues that need resolving particularly the leaking tap in the kitchen which I noted had already been logged in the maintenance book by a previous guest but had not been resolved prior to our arrival. Apart from that I cannot fault it. Would definitely stay there again.

Driftwood House is a five minute walk from the beach (down very steep steps), five minutes from the local supermarket, and ten minutes from The Ship, the local pub. This meant we didn’t need to drive every day, perfect. The accommodation was spacious and clean with an enclosed garden, which was great for our dog. We enjoyed the use of the hot tub, and the garden furniture.This was probably the best house we have stayed in!
