Nightingale Cottage offers a relaxing break with stunning riverside views and convenient proximity to town. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, and the picturesque setting ideal for enjoying breakfast on the patio. While minor maintenance issues are noted, the charm of the location and the presence of wildlife add to the overall positive experience.
The cottage is generally well-received, though there are comments about carpets needing a clean and an oven that requires attention. These isolated remarks suggest room for improvement in cleanliness.
The location is highly praised for its great outlook on the riverside and proximity to town, making it a highlight for guests.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with everything needed for a stay. However, there is a mention of a shower with fluctuating temperatures, which slightly detracts from the overall comfort.
Facilities are generally good, but there are several maintenance issues raised, such as a non-working lamp, a freezer needing defrosting, and a shower head possibly requiring cleaning. A more comprehensive welcome pack is suggested for convenience.
There is no specific mention of gifts or special touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness, and therefore a score cannot be provided. However, the minimal welcome pack is noted, suggesting an area for improvement.

Great place but could be improved. The property is in a great location with plenty to do and see close by. We agree with one of the other reviewers, a comprehensive information pack that included manuals for appliances, in one place rather than in various drawers would be helpful, as often we were left trying to work out how things worked. On arrival we knew there was a key safe and a barrier. We didn't have any details though about the code on the fob for the barrier, so had to call to ask. The fob during the week stopped working and we were however very thankful for a speedy response to sort out the issue. We have stayed in a number of holiday lets and what was most disappointing was the Welcome Pack. It was very minimal and items we would have liked to be included (such as small guest hand soap in the bathroom, for use on arrival), based on previous experience, were not and to cap it all, all the UHT milk sachets were out of date.Would we go back, yes, but we'd be better prepared knowing what we experienced this time.
