Had a lovely time at the cottage. The location was very peaceful and enjoyed coming back to a quickly warm house. Yes, there were a few cobwebs but I'd expect that in the countryside. Parking great. So much to do and see nearby. Highly recommend the canoeing at Dilham retreats. Would definitely recommend this place to friends.

Ideal for what we needed - ie a few days break in a convenient location for 2 family events. Some minor issues, partly related to the remote location - possibly also 'end of season' factors. Generally as expected.

A peaceful stay with beautiful views but some frustrating isues. During my two-week stay at Ruston Reaches in East Ruston, I truly appreciated the peaceful and natural surroundings. Waking up to views of the pond and nearby woodland created a calming atmosphere that made every morning special. The walks around the pond were great, and spotting birds and swans added a lovely touch of wildlife to the experience. Exploring the nearby trails, especially along Weavers Way, was a highlightseeing deer and rabbits in their natural habitat brought a wonderful sense of connection to the countryside. The accommodation was comfortable and provided a quiet retreat after days spent exploring. Being close enough to local amenities yet surrounded by nature was the perfect balance. Overall, Ruston Reaches provided a refreshing break, combining nature, comfort, and tranquility that made my stay truly memorable. During my stay, I was disappointed by several isues. Some of the dishes were disgustingly dirty upon arrival. The kitchen had very limited workspace, which made cooking difficult. The internet connection was awful and unreliable. There were far too many spiders the window frames were covered in spider webs and eggs, and the windows looked like they hadnt been opened in years, which made the place feel neglected. Additionally, there was an asumption that guests would know to bring their own toilet paper, cleaning products for the kitchen, and bin bags, which was not clearly communicated beforehand. The washing machine required paid use, which felt inconvenient. In the bathroom, the taps didnt close properly, making it imposible to balance the hot and cold water, and this definitely needs repair. Overall, the property felt quite dated and in need of maintenance.
