Our family of 4 adults, 4 children & 2 dogs had an amazing week for October half term! The property was warm, inviting, clean and so well equipped. Underfloor heating welcomes you through huge glass doors into the main chapel filled with light and views of the local woodland. The main living area is spacious and sectioned well to allow for relaxing on the sofas, game play at the table or children pretending to be librarians in the library. In the evening, we drew the curtains, turned on the many lamps and melted into cosy autumn relaxation. The well stocked kitchen met all of our needs as we cooked daily meals and ate together around the spacious table. Each bedroom was was a great size, more beautiful views of the local scenery and 3 full bathrooms to give everyone time and space to get ready for the day. Water pressure was great and hot water always available. The grounds were great to explore and our own key to a castle ruin in the middle of a moat! Even though it’s modest in size, we still enjoyed hours of fun walking the dogs and playing games together with the children. A beautiful park in the town and lots of other towns a short drive away. An amazing stay and would love to stay again.

What a super building for hosting a family weekend, with three grandchildren and two dogs. Great welcome pack, thank you. Lovely location in a quaint village. Access to the local castle was fantastic. Cleanliness left a bit to be desired. The wooden, tiled and laminated floors needed a good mopping. The filter in the dishwasher needed degreasing before it worked. Hopefully , the cleaner we paid for gets stuck in. However, the kitchen is well equipped, lots of crockery and cutlery. Very efficient oven. Two great showers and a bath for the little ones. I would stop there again as it is ideal for hosting a family gathering.
