Nearby Bacton Woods, is ideal for walking, cycling and woodland picnics. Good fishing, birdwatching, sailing and several golf courses available nearby. Bacton, 1½ miles, Mundesley, 5 miles, Cromer, 12 miles, and Sheringham, 16 miles, all have sandy beaches. Cromer with promenade and pier. Sheringham is home to the North Norfolk Steam Railway, passing through countryside designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, visiting nearby coastline villages. Livelier seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, 22 miles, for fun fair, Sea Life Centre, indoor leisure complex with aqua pool, model village, butterfly farm, amusement arcades and shopping centre. Wroxham, capital of the Norfolk Broads, 12 miles, offer daily boat hire and river trips to explore the expanse of waterways, a natural haven for wildlife, plenty of picnic opportunities by the riverside and many riverside inns and cafés. A lovely holiday cottage in a great location close to the beach. As a family of four with two dogs, we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed a great week of beach walks with the dogs and exploring the nearby towns of Cromer, Sheringham and Mundesley

We had a wonderful stay, the home was clean, comfortable and quiet, the garden was enclosed and i could let the dogs out without worrying they would find their way out to the beach (just a few minutes away) to find their dad who fished everyday and thoroughly enjoyed himself catching lots (48 fish). The welcome pack was a lovely touch. I am being selfish and hope it doesn’t sell as we want to come back next year. Chip shop, Chinese and local stores all close by. Watsons cafe has lovely food and is dog friendly.

Floors dirty. Our feet were black Dishwasher didn’t work properly Was not cleaning. Freezer not cold enough. Needs defrosting. Beds very uncomfortable. Garden not suitable for a young child as brambles everywhere Kitchen bin broken Not enough mugs and plates Had to keep washing up Bought wipes to attempt to clean floor but hopeless. Need a good steam clean I think. Or at least regular washing. Very disappointing as had looked forward to our holiday for many months. Not being able to sleep well because springs in mattresses worn out. All needs refreshing and renewing to make clean and comfortable
