Nearby Bacton Woods, is ideal for walking, cycling and woodland picnics. Good fishing, birdwatching, sailing and several golf courses available nearby. Bacton, 1½ miles, Mundesley, 5 miles, Cromer, 12 miles, and Sheringham, 16 miles, all have sandy beaches. Cromer with promenade and pier. Sheringham is home to the North Norfolk Steam Railway, passing through countryside designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, visiting nearby coastline villages. Livelier seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, 22 miles, for fun fair, Sea Life Centre, indoor leisure complex with aqua pool, model village, butterfly farm, amusement arcades and shopping centre. Wroxham, capital of the Norfolk Broads, 12 miles, offer daily boat hire and river trips to explore the expanse of waterways, a natural haven for wildlife, plenty of picnic opportunities by the riverside and many riverside inns and cafés. Location and back garden at the Chase amazing 10/10. The property is a good size, beds comfy, and very warm and comfortable. The beach is just 5 mins around the corner and is big, beautiful, quiet, and prefect for walking the dog. However, we felt certain parts of house/equipment could have been cleaner or needed updating. We found some of the dishes dirty and glasses and cups with cracks. We also had problems with the dishwasher, despite adding salt and buying rinsed aid. There was a lack of cleaning products for the bathrooms and kitchen. Overall we would highly recommend and would love to go back.
