It lies just outside the village of Blofield, which is an ideal location for exploring the Norfolk Broads. Wroxham, the ’capital of the Broads’, is just 4 miles away. There are riverside cafes and inns, lots of boating activity and daily boat hire is available, enabling you to explore the Broads and see all the pretty villages and wildlife. There are a number of places to visit including Strumpshaw Fen rspb Reserve, a delight for walkers and nature lovers, Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden, a number of National Trust properties and 3 heritage railways - North Norfolk Railway, Mid-Norfolk Railway and the Bure Valley Railway. Alternatively, spend a day in the fine city of Norwich, with its cathedrals, castle, museums, theatres and fine array of cafes and shops. Walking, birdwatching and cycling are available locally. Coarse fishing is available just ½ mile from the property (in season, licence required). Beach 15 miles. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

A lovely comfortable cottage in a very quiet location. The only problem that we had was with the single bed mattresses which were extremely uncomfortable.Otherwise, highly recommended'

Easily found, not remote as farms and house next door but felt remote in the dark, wonderful stars. Great fencing to keep the dog in , great front room/kitchen, huge telly, double bedroom huge , single ok but single beds need work. Shower/toilet room very usable. All in all a great holiday, opened up the east coast, Cromer,Sheringham Caister, and the beautiful village of Filby. The Cowshed was veryvunique and offered all you need for a holiday, dogs, creme carpet sorted by the Dyson hoover. Great holiday, thank you.

A lovely spacious converted barn with tall ceilings and modern decor. The main bedroom is huge with lots of space and beautiful views out the back. The second room is snug but has 2 single beds and a side table between them, and a chair at the end. Enough room for our kids in the cosy space. The kitchen is really well equipped, with a dishwasher, fridge (with a mini freezer section) and extra small freezer in a cupboard. There are games, a few DVDS and a large TV for entertainment. There were plenty of blackberries around if you go out for walk and many attractions within driving distance. A great find!
