The Shanty in Norwich is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and well-equipped kitchen. Guests enjoy the lovely garden and proximity to the beach and local amenities. Some concerns were raised about ongoing building work and maintenance issues, but overall, guests express a willingness to return for another stay.
Guests consistently note the property as spotlessly clean, with several reviews highlighting its cleanliness. This suggests a high standard of hygiene and care.
The location is generally appreciated for its proximity to the beach and local pub, although some guests were disappointed by the building work nearby and the distance from the sea was further than expected for some.
The property is described as comfortable, with comfortable beds and seating areas mentioned. However, there was a request for higher chairs for older guests, indicating room for improvement.
The property is well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a non-working shower, the need for garden TLC, and TV reception problems.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the host, so it is not possible to assess this category. It should be noted that while gifts are a nice addition, they are not guaranteed.

We had alovely week at the Shanty it has everything you could want .Lovely garden for our little dog to run about in.And a 10 minute walk to a fantastic beach.Everything was lovely and clean.Just one thing we couldn't use the en suite shower its not working. But we used the other bathroom okay .Yes building work at end of garden is ongoing but it didn't spoil our holiday. We would definitely book again .
