Guests say

The Shanty is a spacious, well-equipped and comfortable bungalow, praised for its cleanliness and large, secure garden—ideal for dogs and families. Guests appreciate the proximity to a beautiful sandy beach, local shops, and pubs. The property is warm and inviting, with a lovely conservatory and outdoor BBQ area. Some minor issues were noted, such as occasional building noise from nearby development, maintenance needs for showers and decking, and the absence of countryside views previously shown in photos. Overall, guests found their stays enjoyable and would happily return.

Multiple reviews highlight the property as spotlessly clean, with fresh linens and towels. Only one review mentioned a minor issue with the dishwasher, but overall, cleanliness is consistently praised.

The property is within a short walk to the beach, shops, and pubs, which guests found very convenient. Some were disappointed by the proximity of new housing development and the loss of countryside views, but most found the location excellent for a seaside holiday.

Guests found the bungalow very comfortable, with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and a cosy lounge. Some mentioned a preference for higher chairs or a larger bed, but overall comfort was highly rated.

The property is well equipped with a good kitchen, large fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washer, and BBQ area. Some maintenance issues were noted, such as showers needing attention, decking repairs, and minor appliance concerns, but these did not significantly detract from the overall experience.

Some guests mentioned the absence of a welcome pack, while others appreciated the arrangements for cleaning and bin collection. Please note that gifts or welcome packs are not guaranteed.
