stayed in Olive cottage, Barnard castle 20-24 May. Chose a what we thought would be a quite location with a hot tub. The carpark to the rear had a Funfair set up in there on the 21st making the hot tub unusable due to loud music and generators that went on untill late at night. Mesaged to explain what was happening and the response from the owners of the cottage was they can just turn up anywhere. The show that was on that bank holiday weekend was over 150 year old so saying they didn't know the carpark was going to be a fair is absolute nonsense. No offer of any kind of compensation for a awful spoilt stay.

The cottage we stayed in was beautiful and clean! The location was great with lots of cafes, restaurants and shops just behind it. Would definitely stay here again x
