Lovely barn conversion in a great location. Chris the owner is so friendly and helpful. Is was great to open the blinds on a morning to see all of the animals. Barnard castle is a lovely town with a good coice of shops and cafes/restaurants. We will definitely be back.

The barn was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The only disappointment was the "garden" which was full of nettles and thistles, and the fence was too open, so wasn't secure for the dogs, or sheep who could climb through. We had to keep dogs on lead at all times, and was unable to open patio doors, until we put the dining table across the opening. We had some lovely walks down to the river, and would return to Barney.
