We had a lovely stay at south view barn the area is stunning lots to do town is only a short walk!great for dogs very dog friendly area!the barn itself was clean and tidy it does say it sleeps 6 but only has 2 bedrooms the other bed is a pull out sofa which isn’t very comfortable I would say it’s more for 4 people but plenty of space inside!couple of small things which is personal choice really(why I only have it 4 stars) no dining table there’s a small pull out one but not really ideal if you have 6 adults the bedrooms both have double beds there is room in each room to fit a nice kingside and unfortunately no garden furniture we was lucky enough to have some lovely weather but only had 2 chairs to sit outside on!that being said it wouldn’t put me off booking again

Lovey cottage well equipped the only things missing were a pizza tray and a flat oven tray but we managed. The bed in the window bedroom was nice & comfy and the shower was huge, it was really powerful. Nice bedding and towels. The views from the lounge were fabulous. Great gated parking. We sat in both easy chairs as the sofa looks beautiful but once you sit on it you realise the cushions are flat from being used and past their best so made it very uncomfortable. We met the owner and his Sister who were both really lovely folk. The walk into Barny only takes 10mins and is a well lit footpath along the road . The only thing that would stop us from returning is the very loud traffic noise from the lorries from the quarries passing on the road that runs right along at the back of the cottage, we didn't hear anything over the weekend but come Monday morning & onwards we were woken up at about 5.15am when all the lorries started passing by as the noise was very loud but luckily we had some earplugs in the suitcase so we wore them for the rest of our week, we know this is no fault at all of the owners but we just think it needs mentioning so that people can visit prepared. for this. We had a lovely week despite our early morning wake ups as there are lots to see and do in the area. Would recommend this cottage but take ear plugs if your light sleepers. Loved the 4 chickens there too which came to see us every day for some food which the owner left us. Beautiful part of the world .
