Walk a few metres from the cabin to a lovely restaurant (booking recommended) or to the local café for a casual meal, and there is another popular pub/restaurant to try (0.3 miles). Spend time walking parts of Hadrian s Wall or visit the preserved Roman ruins, fascinating museum collections, and café at Vindolanda and Housesteads Roman Fort. Drive to The Sill, National Landscape Discovery Centre (20 miles) for unique exhibitions, a rooftop walk and a café. Head into the National Park to experience spectacular nature, scenery and landscapes. Explore Hexham Abbey, town and river walks, and spend a day at the racecourse (12.5 miles). Drive to Newcastle (14.5 miles) for shopping, arts, and the River Tyne, and on to Tynemouth to stroll on the sandy beaches. Head through the bi folding doors into the uncluttered, open plan living area where you can relax in plenty of space. Cosy up together on the comfortable sofa with snuggly throws and cushions after a day s sightseeing and fresh air activities. Watch a little TV, read your books, or listen to some music to unwind.
