Guests say

Begonia House in Alnmouth is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and stunning sea views. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, thoughtful welcome gifts, and the property's proximity to the beach and local amenities. While parking can be challenging, the property's charm and location offer a memorable stay.

The property is generally regarded as very clean, with several reviews highlighting its cleanliness. However, there were isolated incidents of cleanliness issues such as dirty windows and dog hair, which were promptly addressed.

The location is consistently lauded for its proximity to the beach and local amenities, with stunning views and easy access to walks. Parking difficulties are noted, but the location's overall appeal remains high.

Guests find the property comfortable, with spacious rooms and a homely feel. The presence of an open fire and the provision of entertainment options contribute to the comfort. Some minor issues with doors were mentioned.

The property is well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, and guests are satisfied with the facilities. Maintenance issues are minimal but include a sticking door and a problematic hoover. The internet and dryer issues were noted.

While guests mention a thoughtful welcome gift and appreciate the well-equipped property, there is not enough consistent information on thoughtfulness across reviews to provide a score. It should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and not guaranteed.

We had a really lovely comfortable stay. Such a beautiful part of the world.

Parking may be a problem in busy season but we managed ok with obliging neighbours for unloading & reloading our vehicle due to the quaint, narrow cobbled street. Felt very much a home from home but so near to the sea!

We have stayed many times in Alnmouth as my parents lived nearby and this is one of the best cottages. It was well appointed, clean and much attention had been given to detail. Loved all the blinds, curtains, artwork and the torches in the bedroom. And it was warm! Problem with the hoover, wasn't working properly - suspect due to needing a new bag. But parking was a major issue. We parked in Prospect Place for the first couple of nights as it was incredily difficult to get a parking slot elsewhere. Once the weekend was over, it was better. But this is a deterrant. Whilst appreciating that Alnmouth has become more popular, this really needs to be sorted. There has been a significant deterioration in the last few years. And finally, the Post Office is wonderful. Great staff and excellent fresh produce at reasonable prices.
