Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.

Never any issues as everything worked, and it had a balcony with a sea view. Heating, bedding and towels, lots of crockery, cutlery, utensils and sharp knives etc. all included. Only downside is it's booked up for the same week next year!

The rafters is gill of charm and Alnmouth is a lovely village in a very scenic area.
