Sunny Brae is a pleasing single-storey cottage nestled in the village of Embleton in Northumberland. Perfect for couples or a solo traveller, this abode features two woodburning stoves, countryside views and is near Northumberland National Park and the beach. Pop any treats in the fridge/freezer, or microwave a snack after you load any laundry into the washing machine in the utility room. Head to the charming country-style kitchen/diner with terracotta tiles and original wooden walls, to whip up a romantic meal for two. Keep the chef company here and unwind on the sofa. Once dinner is served, gather around the table and tuck in. Freshen up in the shower room as the night draws to a close, then why not head outside to the summerhouse and admire the golden hues of sunset as you cuddle up next to woodburning stove. When it's time for bed, head back inside, then sink into the sheets of the double bed and rejuvenate for the night.

Head to Northumberland Coast National Landscape, feel the sand between your feet at one of the beaches, take in the stunning vistas along Northumberland Coast Path, walk along Craster Harbour, grab a bite to eat with fresh seafood nearby or take a swing at Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Course with stunning castle ruins as a backdrop. Or take a drive to Northumberland National Park to uncover the beauty of nature with moorland, sheep wandering, waterfalls and rolling hills. After a day of exploring, head back to Sunny Brae and unwind by the fire.

The pretty village of Embleton is ideally placed for exploring one of the most attractive stretches of Northumberland's Heritage Coastline. A beautiful grassy path runs from the village to neighbouring Craster, alongside the sea and past Dunstanburgh Castle - the largest ruined castle in Northumberland. Embleton itself has a village pub and a local hotel, and there is an excellent range of amenities in nearby Alnwick. The gardens at nearby Howick Hall are open during the summer and are noted for their beauty, whilst Alnwick Castle and Garden are a 'must-see' when visiting the area. For the keen golfer, Dunstanburgh Links Course is about 1 mile away - just one of several excellent courses in the vicinity.
