The pretty village of Embleton is ideally placed for exploring one of the most attractive stretches of Northumberland's Heritage Coastline. A beautiful grassy path runs from the village to neighbouring Craster, alongside the sea and past Dunstanburgh Castle - the largest ruined castle in Northumberland. Embleton itself has a village pub and a local hotel, and there is an excellent range of amenities in nearby Alnwick. The gardens at nearby Howick Hall are open during the summer and are noted for their beauty, whilst Alnwick Castle and Garden are a 'must-see' when visiting the area. For the keen golfer, Dunstanburgh Links Course is about 1 mile away - just one of several excellent courses in the vicinity.

Clean, warm, with everything you could want for a holiday and lots of thoughtful features like soap, washing up liquid, and even bath robes to wear on the way to the hot tub! The electric car charging stations are well sited and easy to use, and removed all hassle of trying to find a charger in a rural area. The idea of booking a slot in the swimming pool is brilliant and means a quiet swim. Clearly marked paths to the sea and plenty to see and do.

Convenient for the coast and many must -see places in Northumberland. The pool and hot tub were a bonus. I was also pleasantly surprised by the sea view from this cottage. Beautiful

Enjoyed hot tub and the way the hot tubs were positioned they were quite private . Great base to travel and explore Northumberland. Just some kindling in wood basket would help start a fire as big logs donât burn straight away.
