Chapel view is lovely and cosy. Great location for restaurants and pubs and only 15 mins drive from the coast.

If it weren't for the access issues we had with the cottage this would have been a five star review (lock box jammed and owner seemed reluctant initially to send someone out to resolve it . This delayed our entry into the cottage for 90 minutes, in the dark and drizzle. Passed some of the time in the conveniently located Morrisons just through the archway. The person who came out was more service minded and forced the box open). A minor niggle was the pan situation - common to a lot of cottages we've stayed in there wasn't really a pan big enough to cook pasta for four people and the frying pan should be replaced.Aside from these issues the cottage itself is lovely. Very tastefully decorated and cosy and sited very conveniently for Alnwick town centre while also being peaceful. The parking space was also a blessing. We appreciated the quantity of crockery and cutlery provided - eight of most things and even more mugs, rather than the cottage capacity. The utensil provision within the kitchen was also good and I can't think of anything within the cottage that wasn't there when we wanted it. Nice comfortable beds. The outside area wasn't massive but was somewhere you could sit out and handy if you'd taken a dog. So, after the initial problem, we had a very pleasant stay here and being closer to the town centre encouraged us to explore Alnwick itself more.

Great location, great facilities, great parking, great little place! Was ideal for us. Walking distance to everything to do in Alnwick and not far to travel for Seahouses, Cragside, Bamburgh etc! A travel cot and high chair would have made it slightly easier but we had the space in the car to take our own.I’m also allergic to ‘down’ bedding (feathers) so we had to buy some bedding whilst we were there for me to use.
