When you’re ready to begin exploring this historic town, begin with a trip to the incredible and famous Alnwick Castle, one of the largest inhabited castles in the UK and used as ‘Hogwarts’ when filming scenes for the ‘Harry Potter’ films so it’s a must-visit for any fans. The Alnwick Garden is also an exciting visit with its spectacular interpretation of a formal garden, including the Grand Cascade waterfall, poison garden and largest tree house in Europe where guests can dine in the restaurant. Heading 4 miles east is the picture-perfect coastal village of Alnmouth where there is a gorgeous golden sandy beach and stunning local eateries alongside quaint local shops. A short drive west brings you to the small town of Rothbury.

Great location, great facilities, great parking, great little place! Was ideal for us. Walking distance to everything to do in Alnwick and not far to travel for Seahouses, Cragside, Bamburgh etc! A travel cot and high chair would have made it slightly easier but we had the space in the car to take our own.I’m also allergic to ‘down’ bedding (feathers) so we had to buy some bedding whilst we were there for me to use.

Stayed here for the weekend, lovely accommodation and it was great to have a parking space. The house was very very comfortable, well equipped and great location right in the centre but quiet. Had fish and chips and a Chinese takeaway which were both very good. Morrisons is just a five minute walk away. Would definitely recommend

A very well presented holiday cottage. Extra effort is put into the small details. For example the arrival arrangement of towels on the bed. You feel you are in a high quality hotel. Secure gated car parking. Highly recommended.
