The spacious living area features three large arched windows, comfortable sofa and smart TV. Two bedrooms, the master bedroom with double bed, walk-in closet and en-suite shower room. There is a separate level access here around the side of the house, ideal for anyone with limited mobility.
The cottage benefits from being within easy walking distance of a wide array of amenities in this highly sought after destination. A cinema/playhouse, restaurants, independent shops and a variety of pubs are all close by. Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts) is a popular visitor attraction. Take time to visit Alnwick Garden, a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden, which includes a grand cascade waterfall and poison garden, as well as a fabulous restaurant set in the largest tree house in Europe! A visit to Barter Books, the second hand bookshop in the former station building which has open fires, interactive mural, model railway and café is highly recommended.
The picturesque coastal village of Alnmouth, where there is a variety of good restaurants, pubs, tea rooms and gift shops, is only 4 miles away. Sailing enthusiasts have availability to a yacht and small boat moorings within the sheltered estuary. Golfers will delight in the two courses close by; one being a fine 9-hole course adjacent to the beach and the other being a challenging 18-hole course at Foxton, which enjoys panoramic views. There is easy access to the beautiful 20-mile stretch of Heritage coastline, which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, to the east, and the wild and lonely expanses of the heather-capped Cheviot Hills to the west. Beach 5 miles.

Fantastic location, just minutes from the town centre, yet very peaceful. Superbly well equipped and spotlessly clean. Lovely garden too. A real winner!

Glebelands was perfect for two and ideally located close to the centre of Alnwick. Little garden and outside space was nice. Bed was comfortable but on the small side (there is room for a larger bed if some of the furniture is moved around or swapped). Living area was fine albeit the dining table area was a bit dark, but as we ate out it did not matter too much. Access to the drive was a bit challenging for our sports car that grounded due to a dip on one side of the gate but we used some of the selection of wood offcuts to get us in and out without further scraping. Value for money was good (we benefited from a very good deal on the price).
