Nearby Alnwick, the ducal town with its majestic castle used in Harry Potter’s Hogwarts, enchanting water gardens and cobbled streets will delight all the family. Close by is Warkworth, another popular village with its castle ruins, tea shops and galleries, which can be reached on foot for enthusiastic walkers (approx 2 miles). Stunning walks can be taken along the coastline on this stretch of the coast, and Bamburgh with its fortress of a castle should not be missed. Littlecroft is centrally located for all the North East attractions and is only 2 minutes from the mainline station and good bus service. Golf course in village. A perfect base for exploring this friendly county. Shop 50 yards, pub and restaurant 10 yards.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at this cottage. We were very impressed by it but it did have a couple of issues, the garden was very overgrown and the steps very slippery.There was a a few areas that needed a deep clean.The main bathroom floor was very slippery.But overall we would return to this cottage

The house was a perfect 'fit' for our school friends' get together. It was extremely comfortable and had all that we needed to make our stay memorable - we are already talking about returning next year. We were given masses of information and phone numbers should we have any queries and a real sense that any problem would be sorted straightaway - we had none! Alnmouth offered so many possibilities for walks, swimming, wonderful restaurants and easy access via bus to and from the main railway station (also walkable). I doubt we could have found anywhere better - thank you!

Excellent location with access to lots of lovely shops, pubs and restaurants plus the amazing beach. We didn’t need to use the car for the whole trip and enjoyed a bike ride to Warkworth with the kids.Accomodation was spacious enough for 2 families. Quiet despite being in prominent position on Main Street. Lovely social kitchen, dining, living space.Could do with some extra bits such as roasting tins, oven gloves (although it might have been that we just couldn’t find them)Not as clean as I am used to with holiday lets. I needed to hoover the rug in the living room due to pet hair. Whole house needed a dust and items on kitchen counters such as trays and tea pots / coffee machine dusty.Bedding and bathrooms were however clean.Unfortunate situation with a shower leaking. Didn’t pose too much of a problem as another shower and 2 baths available to use. Easy to report and we understood that this was difficult to fix over a long weekend. TV in living room could do with an upgrade to allow smart TV functions. Overall we had a lovely holiday. Thanks.
