Part of an original working Malthouse, this unique building is steeped in history and has been converted into a collection of elegant apartments, which ooze charm and character at every turn. The apartment is independent of the main building, and has a private parking space right at the door.
Stylish and elegant, with a high level of comfort, the industrial past is reflected in the fabulous décor and furnishings. The spacious open plan living area makes a fabulous social space, from modern kitchen to light filled living room. The master bedroom has a sumptuous kingsize bed, Smart TV and en-suite shower room. The second bedroom is superking and for flexibility can be twin beds on request.
Well located, the apartment is set within a modern, vibrant town centre complemented by cobbled pavements and historic stone houses. Here you are within easy walking distance of the wide array of local amenities including a cinema/playhouse, good restaurants, independent shops, a variety of pubs and great take-out services.
Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland and film location for ’Harry Potter’s’, Hogwarts, is a popular visitor attraction only a gentle stroll away. Visit the Alnwick Garden, a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden, including the Grand Cascade waterfall and poison garden. Here guests can dine in the restaurant of the largest tree house in Europe, nestled in the treetops, with a roaring log fire in the wintertime, and a reputation for excellence. Maltster’s Rest is an excellent base from which you can easily explore the beautiful 20-mile stretch of Northumberland Heritage coastline, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The coastal town of Alnmouth, with its beautiful beach is just 4½ miles to the east and for walkers you have the wild and unspoilt expanses of the heather-capped Cheviot Hills to the west. There is so much to see and do in this part of Northumberland and all within easy access.

The apartment was beautiful & decorated to a high standard. It was spotlessly clean & the owner (Judy) has thought of everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday. The welcome pack was a lovely touch as were the beautiful spring daffodils. The property is in a quiet location and is a couple of minutes walk from the town centre. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend staying here.
