Bowline Cottage in Beadnell is cherished for its quiet location near the beach, making it ideal for beachgoers and dog-friendly family holidays. Guests appreciate the well-equipped, spacious, and comfortable interiors, though some suggest it could benefit from a touch of refurbishment. The welcoming touches and proximity to local amenities add to the pleasant stay.
The property generally maintains good cleanliness, with several reviews praising its tidiness. However, some guests have noted areas that require attention, such as under beds and sofas, and kitchenware. These instances suggest room for improvement in cleaning standards.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach and local attractions, making it a prime spot for guests looking to enjoy the natural beauty and convenience of Beadnell.
Many guests find the cottage cosy and well-appointed, contributing to a comfortable stay. Nonetheless, there are comments about the need for better mattresses and some furniture showing signs of wear, indicating that comfort could be enhanced with updates.
Facilities like the washing machine, dishwasher, and heating are appreciated, but several reviews mention the need for maintenance, such as fixing the shower drainage, the dishwasher, and refreshing the paintwork. These recurring issues suggest that the facilities are good but require attention to reach their full potential.
Guests have mentioned thoughtful gestures such as the provision of teas, coffee, biscuits, and fresh milk. While these are well-received, it is important to note that such gifts are not guaranteed and may vary with each stay.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.

Few niggles same as most Key lock in a very difficult to get at location. Any one who needs a wheelchair would struggle because the door wonât open fully. ( although if you could get on to the decking there are patio doors.) The log burning stove has no companion set which makes it very difficult to empty ashes, and use.The drinks fridge doesnât work and smells awful if you open the door. No instructions for dishwasher central heating washing machine ect. Small improvements but would be worth while implementing. Crockery, utensils, pans ect all good. Would we stay here again. Yes, with the small improvements suggested.

It has so much to offer but basic issues need addressing that have been mentioned time and time again. So easily rectified. Move the key safe, fix the front door so that it opens fully and don't advertise a wine cooler that doesn't work. It is a joint responsibility of both the owners of the property and the marketing team of the property to ensure that expectations are met. In all the reviews left there has never been any feed back from Lucy & Ben who are really happy to share this amazing place spending 20 years of summers at Beadnell Bay. This is our third visit to the cottage and we will be back. Overall it is a great place and it doesn't take much to make it an amazing place.

Just loved our time in Bowline last week. Troubled by the shower not draining quickly. Would recommend and we will be back.
