Formerly a farm steading sensitively converted to provide a small cluster of prestigious stone-built cottages the quality and location of Bramble Barn is sublime. The immaculately presented lounge features a lovely stone fireplace where the cosy wood-burning stove is idyllic to gaze into and watch the flames dance after a day exploring the stunning Northumbrian coastline close by. Floor to ceiling windows gives the living space a bright and airy ambience and a patio door leads to the fully enclosed patio garden; a perfect spot to watch the sunrise or dine alfresco and admire the open views towards the sea and Holy Island beyond. The contemporary dining kitchen has many integrated appliances and is very well equipped. Both double bedrooms (one en-suite) are tastefully furnished and positioned on the first floor along with the family bathroom.

We first stayed here over Christmas 2024 and immediately booked again to stay again in October 2025. The location for us is great, the views are amazing and the cottage itself is cosy and welcoming. It comfortably accommodates 4 adults and is dog friendly. It's fully equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable, and the owners add little treats such as a welcome pack and a doggy box with balls, treats and emergency poo bags, which is a lovely touch. The EV charger is a real bonus, but remember to bring your charging cable. It works on an honesty basis so we track our usage and pay for our consumption. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again - in fact we have only been back for 24 hours and and rebooked again for the same time next year.
