Located in the heart of historic Lowick village near the ancient Devil s Causeway Roman road, this retreat has a lovely local pub, friendly village shop for supplies and a range of walking, running and cycling routes nearby too. Visit the Holy Island Causeway (5 miles) for a day exploring beautiful Lindisfarne, the castle, priory and why not sample the famous local mead? Iconic Bamburgh Castle, magnificent sandy beach and popular village and shops are also nearby (13 miles). Spend time in Berwick upon Tweed (10 miles) for the castle and city rampart walks, follow The Lowry Trail, hit the beach or browse the shops, crafts, galleries, and cafes. Catch a train from Berwick to the city for the Edinburgh Festival, castle and shopping. Walk through the front door of this warm and welcoming cottage and choose from one of the two lovely lounges for some relaxing downtime. The cosy main lounge has a warming wood burner set into the stone inglenook fireplace and comfortable seating where you can settle back to watch a movie on the Smart TV. A step from the lounge takes you into the light and airy kitchen/diner/family room where there is more seating and another Smart TV, perfect for keeping everyone happy, and French doors at this end open onto the enclosed patio garden, so you can take advantage of indoor/outdoor living. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped so the family chef can enjoy creating some tasty meals with ease and you can all sit together at the dining table for sociable dinners, leisurely breakfasts, and activity planning. Upstairs on the landing, there is a bookcase and seat where you can sit for a quiet read.
