Needs tidying up inside a bit paint coming off in lounge ,wardrobes in both bedrooms need finishing off, there are some loose slaps outside ( outside is nice could do with a hottub) and could do with some blackout blinds maybe sharpen the knives, excellent advice to take train to Edinburgh £55 return for us and the dog. Train station just 10 minutes walk away .

Royal Border Retreat is spacious well maintained well equipped property ideally located for exploring the surrounding area. It has Flagged rear garden which had the sun on it all day while we stayed perfect for enjoying a meal or a beer in after a day exploring. Its a 2min walk to the river with lovely riverside walks, 10min over the bridge to Berwick town centre and a 25min stroll to Spittal Promenade and beach. Checking in/out couldn't be simpler and communication with the owner Tommy was excellent. He even contacted us prior to our arrival to ask what drinks we would prefer with the much appreciated welcome hamper. I would highly recommend Royal Border Retreat to anyone considering a trip to Berwick. We will be back.
