Great quiet cottage with plenty of living space. 10 min walk to 2 good pubs and a great fish and chip van. Really enjoyed our stay, great sitting room with board games and clasic DVDs. Would love to stay again next time were up!

Great property, very well equipped for self catering. Beds were comfortable with nice clean bedding, sofas were nice and comfortable but a bit low, my elderly mum struggled to get up off them, there were nice high chairs in the bedrooms so we moved one of these into the living room for her to use. Overall cleanliness was good, I am being a bit picky, but there were a few cobwebs around and the kitchen & patio windows could do with a clean. It is in a lovely quiet location and an easy 10 min walk to both pubs, either the Craster Arms or The Landing. We used both and couldn’t decide which we liked best as they both served amazing food. My one complaint, and the reason I knocked down the score was the wasp nest at the side of the house, I reported it 2 days into our stay but unfortunately nobody came to deal with it, I spent the week getting rid of wasps from the house and it made using the nice little patio garden impossible. As we were out during the day and it got cold in the evenings it wasn’t too much of an issue but there were a couple of warm days that it would have been nice to sit outside with a glass of wine when we got home, never mind, we used it as an excuse to go for a walk and sit outside one of the pubs instead :-) The only improvements I could suggest would be an information booklet for TV/cooker/heating/wifi code, we did figure these things out but if the instructions were all together it would make it simpler for guests, also a hook in the bathroom to hang clothes/damp towels on and maybe a little shelf or similar in the shower for you shampoo etc. We had a great week here, Beadnell is an ideal location for exploring the Northumberland coast, we visited some lovely places and spent our evenings either relaxing in front of the TV or having a couple of drinks in the pub. I would definitely recommend the property and would book again if we are ever back in this area.
