Fallodon Burnhouses is a spacious and beautifully furnished cottage in a peaceful rural setting, ideal for exploring Northumberland’s coast and attractions. Guests consistently praise the comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, and attractive gardens with woodland and a brook. The cottage is cosy, with efficient heating and a woodburner, and offers ample parking. While most found the property clean and inviting, a few noted minor issues with dampness or superficial cleaning. Accessibility could be improved, and reversing onto the driveway is recommended. Overall, guests thoroughly enjoyed their stays and would happily recommend the cottage.

Most guests found the cottage clean and well-presented, especially the kitchen and bathroom. However, a few mentioned a musty smell, some dampness, and that cleaning in certain areas could be more thorough.

The cottage is praised for its peaceful rural location, proximity to the coast, beaches, and local attractions, as well as easy access to the A1. Some guests noted the driveway exit can be tricky, but overall the setting is highly regarded.

Guests consistently highlight the comfort of the beds, spacious rooms, and cosy atmosphere. The heating and woodburner keep the cottage warm, though one guest found the main bedroom a little cold and beds a bit soft for their preference.

The cottage is well-equipped with a modern bathroom, games, jigsaws, and a well-stocked kitchen. The garden and woodland are standout features. Suggestions for improvement include more kitchen storage and outdoor seating, and grab bars for accessibility.

This was a lovely cottage, very comfy and cosy and had everything we needed for a family of five plus a visiting family member. Very spacious inside. The garden with the wood and stream was an added bonus, with lots of wildlife on our doorstep.Made a great base for all the local beaches and attractions , very close to Bamburgh and Seahouses and Holy Island - close to the A1 so easy to get about. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, we miss it already!

Nice location - peaceful yet handy for visiting many beautiful places. The grounds were particularly nice - some deckchairs or similar would be a nice touch to help enjoy them. The cottage itself is nice and comfortable. Our first impressions on arrival were spoilt a little though by cleanliness. To be fair, the kitchen and bathroom were very clean, but we got the impression that all the cleaning time had been spent on these and the rest of the property given a superficial once over. A shame as it let down an otherwise good cottage.

A lovely setting in a rural location. It had a nice garden and grounds. Best to reverse in as the exit from the cottage is concealed. Unfortunately on our visit the road from the A1 was closed during weekdays. The cottage has everything you need. The beds were a little soft for our liking and the main bedroom was cold. It is in a good location for visiting the coast and castles.
