The accommodation provides home from home comfort and is conveniently all on the ground floor.
The kitchen/diner overlooks the lovely rear lawned garden. With a double bedroom and twin bedroom this is a great place for a small family, couples or friends.
Beadnell is a popular holiday destination and offers good local facilities. There is a village shop with post office, stylish café selling lovely food and snacks and a pub with family friendly restaurant renowned for its delicious food nearby.
A 2 minute walk will take you to the small sandy bay speckled with rocky outcrops, leading to a long sandy beach that stretches to Seahouses, 2 miles north. The wide expanse of golden sandy beach, Beadnell Bay is a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts, including sailing, sea kayaking, wind surfing and scuba. 2 miles up the coastline is the traditional fishing port of Seahouses, where boat trips to the nearby Farne Islands, famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony, depart regularly from its harbour. Here there are several charming tea rooms, quaint pubs and shops with horse riding; fishing and golf on the links close by. A further 3 miles up the coastline is the picturesque village of Bamburgh, with its majestic fortress. Holy Island, the birthplace of Christianity in England and site of Lindisfarne Castle, can be seen from the unspoilt golden, sandy beach.
Just a few miles inland is the bustling market town of Alnwick, with its own dramatic castle (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Academy!). Visitors will enjoy a trip to Alnwick Garden, a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden including the Grand Cascade waterfall, and restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe! A stay at Beadnell is an excellent choice giving easy access to explore the 20 miles of Heritage coastline, recognised as an area of outstanding natural beauty. Beach 400 yards. Shop 300 yards, pub and restaurant 400 yards.

Gan Hyem is situated in a lovely quiet location in Beadnell. The accommodation was very clean and well equipped. The dogs loved the secure garden. However the shower was lukewarm at best, even though the water from the taps was very hot and although this may seem a very minor issue, it is a pretty basic requirement in any property. This one issue would put us off booking this property again. Looking at the visitors book we were not the only ones to have this issue, hopefully the owners will be able to sort this.

Lovely well equipped cottage. Recently updated kitchen and sun room makes for a very pleasant environment. Cottage has a homely feel and is in a great position in Beadnell being easy walking distance to both a beach (main beach is a little further or 2 minutes in a car) and local pubs restaurants and shop. Loved our stay and would highly recommend.
