Gullsway is a well-located cottage with a spacious lounge, comfortable beds, and good water pressure. It's close to the beach, local shops, and eateries. The property has received some updates and offers a cosy stay with a well-equipped kitchen and an enclosed garden, ideal for pets. While some areas require further attention, the property's prime location and the efforts to address feedback are appreciated.
The property has been noted for its overall cleanliness, but some guests mentioned issues such as grubby dining chairs, a stained mattress protector, musty towels, and a damp patch in a bedroom. A deep clean and attention to these details could improve the experience.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach, local amenities, and scenic walks. It's a quiet spot with sea views, making it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area.
Guests found the beds comfortable and the living room spacious. However, some mentioned that certain mattresses were uncomfortable and the decor could be updated for enhanced comfort.
The property is well-equipped, but several reviews cited maintenance issues such as broken garden chairs, a smoking oven, and a shower head that wouldn't stay on its holder. While some fixtures have been replaced, others still need attention.
There are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness. Therefore, it's not possible to provide a score for this category.

We’ve stayed in lots of Beadnell properties and decided this time to try somewhere outside of the newer estate. Having read some mixed reviews, we were a little sceptical but echo what recent reviewers have said. The location is great — we discovered the lovely little beach just across the road, and there’s also a scenic alternative walk to the main bay via the church and cow field. The bungalow itself is more spacious than the photos suggest, particularly the lounge which felt much larger in person. Beds and bedding were comfortable, and the shower and water pressure were excellent. It’s clear that feedback is being listened to — the bathroom looks newly refurbished, and during our stay, someone came out to fit a new toilet seat, fix a blind, and repair the garden chairs. Doors and windows were all clean and working fine. However, there are still a few areas that would benefit from some extra TLC. The dining room chairs were grubby, with ripped fabric and crumbs present on arrival (not caused by us). A deep clean wouldn’t go amiss — we noticed a stained mattress protector in the front room and a musty smell from some of the towels and furnishings, which did take the edge off the overall experience.A full-length mirror would also have been a welcome addition — small touches like this can make a big difference when you're staying away from home and looking for a little extra quality. These may seem like minor things, but with such strong competition in the area, they’re the kind of details that help a property stand out.In summary: a well-located, spacious property with good basics in place, but a bit more attention to detail could really elevate the overall stay.

A lovely detached bungalow, with beach access 100m away from the front door, and a 10 minute walk to Beadnell Bay. 200m to the local shop and 10 minute walk to cafes and pubs. Nice big living room, small enclosed rear garden, bathroom with over-bath shower. Clothes rail in the bedrooms. Some of the fixtures and fittings are a little tired - dining table chairs, bedroom carpet worn / stained, washing machine door not closing, broken garden chairs, half the sky remote buttons don't work. There was a small cleaning pack with dishcloth, sponge, washing up liquid and dishwasher tabs, but no welcome pack so had to go straight out to get coffee and tea. There were some UHT and sugar sachets, so maybe they forgot to put the welcome pack out.Clothes dryer has been replaced (previous review), but the over did smoke and all we were doing was warming up some croissants. Still no details on bin day, so both bins were full when we got there. However, given all of the above I would still go back as the location is perfect and the price makes it excellent value for money.

Good location, nice clean cottage, with everything that you need. If nit picking one of the mattresses was uncomfortable.
