Sandy Toes is a lovely compact property which is spotlessly clean and well equipped, although a cafetiere would be a useful addition. We found the beds comfortable. The electric shower isn’t very powerful and the temperature and flow fluctuates a lot if someone turns a tap on downstairs. It’s a lovely base to explore the Northumberland coast and return home to after a day out exploring. We would be happy to return.

A lovely, clean 2 bedroomed cottage in a fantastic location situated next to the beautiful Beadnell Bay. For those, like ourselves, looking for peace and quiet in a great position for exploring the Northumberland Coast, this cottage is well worth a visit. The welcome packs are filled with gorgeous treat for both human and pet guests. We have just returned from our 4th visit and have already booked again for next Spring 😁

Fantastic location on a quiet street near the beach. Great area for accessibility, and the kids loved the sand dunes! A lovely little house which was very well equipped with plenty of space. Only things we would change would be the drizzling shower which wasnt ideal after wet sandy days on the beach, and the memory foam bed which was like rolling up a mountain every time you tried to roll into the middle. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to easily get a shopping delivery to the cottage.Had one problem when the kitchen chair collapsed and my husband fell backwards, banging his head and arm. The owners were quick to respond to the text and had new chairs brought over the next day, although it would have been nice if they had asked if he was ok. We would definitely return to the area and that road although potentially not the cottage, mainly because of the poor sleep in the bed and lack of a decent shower. We had a an overall great stay in the area visiting Alnwick gardens, Bamburgh Castle and Beadnell. We enjoyed visiting the wonderful Barter's Books in Alnwick on the way home.
