We have just returned from a 6 night stay at Quarry Barn and would go back again tomorrow if we could.Although it is quiet and peaceful, tucked away in the middle of nowhere, it is near enough to places to spend time in the wonderful Northumbrian countryside. Corbridge, Hexham Hadrian's Wall Derwent Reservoir to name a fewWelcome basket, full of lovely treats and essentials, underfloor heating- best and warmest we’ve had, and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything and more than we needed. Spacious living and bedroom with a superb huge shower in the bathroom. The barn is tastefully decorated with lots of quirky items - just look out for the glitter ball. A lot of thought has clearly gone into making this a cosy and comfortable stay for their guestsWe had one day of severe gales and heavy rain and was more than content to spend the day in the Barn. VIcky even sent us a text to see if we were ok and if we needed anything at the local shop as she was venturing outVicky and Simon are cheerful, friendly and helpful and nothing is too much bother to them. Although they stay in the farmhouse next door, they are not intrusive and we knew that they were only a phone call away if we needed them. Thanks to you both
