Fab little place , don’t expect to much from the town it’s got great promenade for walk and good bus links to Newcastle,Morpeth and beyond Co-op fish n chips and pubs ( would recommend The Central ) Throughly enjoyed our stay

Found this to be a really lovely apartment. However just a couple of issues to look out for.The bedroom was quite compact and understandably not enough room to walk round both sides of the bed, which is why it’s against the wall. We had to move it though as I needed room to be able to stand up during the night due to medical issues and my husband needed the window side to plug in his sleeping machine. The other issue is the shower room. It is down a long corridor and feels like it’s in a different building entirely. Not only that we did not feel the privacy screen on the back door was sufficient enough to feel comfortable walking back down in your towel to the bedroom to get dressed and there is just is not enough room to get dressed in the shower room. When I had to get up during the night we left the shower room light on and walking down that corridor at night felt a bit creepy and your eyes were drawn to the window to make sure no one was looking in!The beach is beautiful. We went to the Queens Head for a meal which was lovely but found the eating out at night choices in the town quite lacking if you didn’t want to drive anywhere. Most of the gifty type shops are closed on a Monday. The co-op is just across the road which was convenient.
