Refresh in one of three bathrooms, then head outside into the garden and watch the sunrise whilst enjoying a good hearty breakfast under the summer sun before heading out.
Start your Seahouses adventure with a stroll around the idyllic harbour, then hop on a boat out to the Farne Islands, ideal for wildlife lovers, where you can observe the puffins and seals relaxing on the rocks. Walkers and cyclists can join the coastal path in either direction to further explore the picturesque coastline. Head north to discover miles of magnificent sandy beaches, as well as the village of Bamburgh, which is known for its dominant hilltop castle, overlooking the sea, along with its lighthouse, museums and golf club. A short drive along the coast will take you to the fishing village of Craster, with its lovely family-friendly beach and nearby attraction of the 14th-century Dunstanburgh Castle, owned by the National Trust.
Don’t forget to try some award-winning tasty seafood! Head a short drive south to the historic market town of Alnwick, enjoy the castle used as the setting of Hogwarts in the Harry Potter film series and create your own Hogwarts memory. Don’t forget to head to the Alnwick Gardens and explore the magical grounds on offer. The picturesque countryside of the Northumberland National Park is a short drive away, offering magnificent walking and cycling trails through rolling hills, heather-clad moorland and enchanting forest, and at night offers truly incredible stargazing opportunities, with its impressive sky’s status. We have had multiple holidays with lovely house. The location and the facilities in the house are excellentBeds are very comfortable with good quality bed linenKitchen is extremely well equipped there was also a utility room with a washer and dryer. The only down side is that it’s not the cleanest holiday home we have stayed in. It’s acceptable but it could definitely be improved. But we have booked another holiday in this lovely house.

Location is perfect outside area is lovely sun trap but parasol didn’t fit the base unit so no shade for children absolutely everything you could want in terms of crockery cutlery and glass wear there was plenty toilet roll kitchen rolls washing up liquid to get us started and a nice wee welcome gift of shortbread Towels and bed linens were of good quality but I could’ve done without the pet hair ? Interwoven through my sheets also there wasn’t a lot of cleaning done before our arrival the kitchen bin had bin juice in it and very smelly so we put it outside and used plastic bags for our rubbish I was aware that the property was pet friendly but there was a lot of pet hairs in the corners of the sun room and on the bottom of the furniture I would suggest some blinds or a voile at sun room window in order to watch the TV better There was also a bundle of girls clothing in one of the bedroom drawers (not ours ) so housekeeping is definitely not up to scratch This is our second booking and we had similar problems last year at Embleton cottage so in my opinion they don’t seem to check up on any of the owners to make sure these things are addressed would I book again ? Probably not as I was disappointed on both occasions it’s also quite a late check in for isle stone house 4 PM so basically thats half of your first day away Having said all this we had a lovely time with the family ages ranging from 77 ( grab rails in shower a good idea worth installing) down to 10 years old We walked every day on the beach and had some lovely dinners out and I would highly recommend the Italian
