Horse riding is available on the cusp of the village, and there is an impressive golf course on the links close by.

Visit Budle Bay, a bird sanctuary, where at low tide a vast expanse of mud flats is home to countless thousands of sea and land birds, making this location a haven for bird watchers.

The market town of Alnwick, with its own majestic castle, cobbled streets and friendly locals offers many facilities a few miles inland. Alnwick Garden is a popular visitor attraction, with its grand cascade waterfall and restaurant (set within the largest tree house in Europe) and fabulous theme park, Lilidorei. Overall a great property. The only issue during our stay was an unpleasant smell emanating from the en suite caused by the building plumbing - not the apartment but the building! Keeping the en suite bathroom closed helped.
