Guests say

Sand Castles is a spacious and well-located cottage in Seahouses, ideal for families and groups seeking proximity to the beach and local amenities. Guests consistently praise its size, comfort, and homely feel, as well as the quiet setting and ample parking. While the property is generally clean and well-equipped, some guests note areas that could benefit from refurbishment and improved maintenance, particularly regarding crockery, minor repairs, and cleaning supplies. Overall, it offers a pleasant and practical base for exploring the area, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Most guests found the property clean and comfortable, though several mentioned issues such as dirty carpets, cobwebs, and the need for a deeper clean in some areas. Some concerns were raised about crockery cleanliness and exterior upkeep, but these did not overshadow the overall positive impression.

The location is highly praised, with guests appreciating the quiet neighbourhood, proximity to the beach (just a short walk), and easy access to Seahouses and local attractions. The setting is considered ideal for families and dog owners.

Guests frequently comment on the spaciousness, comfortable beds, and ample room for families and groups. A few noted a hard mattress and minor furniture wear, but overall comfort levels are high, with plenty of personal space and a large garden.

The house is generally well-equipped, but several guests mention maintenance issues such as cracked crockery, limited kitchenware, minor appliance faults, and a lack of cleaning materials. Some facilities, like the bathroom and garden furniture, could benefit from updating.

There are no mentions of welcome gifts or special touches. Some guests noted the absence of basic cleaning products, first aid supplies, and information about the area, suggesting room for improvement in guest care and attention to detail.

The house is in a amazing location a five minute walk to seahouses beach. This house could be amazing but sadly it does not measure up to the price bracket you pay to stay here.Poor quality mattress on main bedroom bed was very firm. On stripping the bed on our last day we found out why there is a wooden board under the mattress!Sofas and furnishings in general looking tired. Outside furniture was poor and grass in need of a cut.Even little things such as all the soap dispensers had dregs left in the bottom. We booked here due to its location and due to previous reviews were aware of issues but sadly even the location would not sway us to book here again.

A few items of furniture are getting a little tired, only three teaspoons were in the cutlery draw and several mugs had tea stains. There were several light fittings/ceiling corners that had cobwebs.Small issues but considering the hire price are important.Would still recommend this beautiful house
