About this property

The property has been modernised to a high standard and provides comfortable, warm, well-furnished and well-equipped accommodation. Altogether an ideal base for enjoying Northumberland's stunning beaches and coastline.

There are numerous attractive touches and we felt relaxed and comfortable from the moment we walked in and had a really enjoyable week here. The facilities were more than we have enjoyed in other properties, particularly the large freezer, an item often missing from holiday properties. We also appreciated the parking permit, which allowed us free parking at car parks such as the one at Beadnell beach where a disabled badge is not accepted. We were already familiar with the area which we love, having stayed here regularly for the last 25 years or so and were able to visit all our favourite places round about, though we still haven't travelled as far a the base of the Angel of the North, this time limiting ourselves to walks on Beadnell and Bamburgh beaches and visits to Alnwick and also to Alnmouth, where from the golf club car park with its spectacular views over the coast, there is a path down to the town, which has some pretty independent shops and also pubs and cafes. All in all a very enjoyable week.

Very good location both in terms of locality and for exploring walks along the coastal path. That includes driving part of the way to a destination and then parking for a good walk. The former made all the better by the "parking permit" - an absolute joy to have!
