Larksbay View is highly praised for its stunning sea views, comfortable furnishings, and welcoming atmosphere. Guests consistently commend the property's cleanliness, prime location for beach walks, and the thoughtful touches, including treats for dogs. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is one of relaxation and enjoyment, with many guests eager to return.
The majority of guests find the apartment spotless and well-maintained, with only a few isolated comments about the need for a deeper clean in certain areas. The consistent mention of cleanliness suggests a high standard is typically met.
The location receives outstanding feedback for its proximity to the beach, local amenities, and the ease of exploring nearby towns. The views are frequently highlighted as a major draw.
Guests find the beds and sofas very comfortable, contributing to a relaxing stay. However, some guests mention that the furniture, while stylish, could be more comfortable, slightly lowering the score.
The apartment is generally well-equipped, but some guests suggest improvements such as better kitchenware and a larger TV. Maintenance issues like a leaking radiator and window unit problems are noted.
Many guests appreciate the thoughtful gestures, such as welcome packs and dog treats. While these are warmly received, it is politely noted that such extras, while delightful, are not guaranteed with every stay.
A tastefully presented first floor apartment, situated on a beautiful quiet unspoiled sandy beach, in the heart of Marske-by-the-Sea. With breath-taking views from the sitting room through floor to ceiling period windows, you can sit and watch the local fisherman launch their boats and return at the end of the day to watch the sun set. Fully modernised, the rooms are themed in a very calm and tranquil beach hut style, with light and airy decor, a wonderful L shaped sofa, and a central effective fireplace. The country cottage kitchen is surrounded by oak units, and even features a fold-out dining table, whilst the bathroom is uplifted by a mosaic backdrop, with a shower sitting above. When the night draws in, two bedrooms will leave you spoilt for choice, continuing the ocean feel, with soft furnishings, and low lighting. Just across the private driveway/road is a terraced area with patio furniture where you can sit and take in the stunning views, and enjoy an evening meal. If you can steal yourself away from this idyllic scene, the pubs, tea rooms and shops in the village centre are just a few minutes stroll. You can leave your door and minutes later be on the tranquil sandy beach and perhaps walk two miles to the bohemian and vibrant spa town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea with its historic pier and cliff railway. It would be easy to think you are in a remote location, but it is a very convenient base to explore the true delights of the North York Moors villages and seaside resorts such as Whitby. Something here for every age group whatever the season.
Marske-by-the-Sea is a small, coastal village with long, wide, sandy beaches. Originally an old fishing village, it now has a selection of local shops and pubs, which cater for all the family, plus the safe, sandy beaches, sand dunes and fishing boats. Places of interest nearby include Captain Cook's birthplace, the mining museum, and the Zetland Lifeboat Museum. The old Victorian spa town of Saltburn is just three miles away and it's an easy drive to other seaside resorts such as Whitby.
