The Grand Terrace offers a spacious, characterful stay in a historic building with stunning sea views and an unbeatable location close to Saltburn’s amenities. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, private parking, and the impressive terrace. While the apartment’s period charm and comfort are praised, some mention that cleanliness and maintenance could be improved, and a few furnishings are dated. The property’s unique atmosphere and excellent location make it a popular choice for return visits, with most guests enjoying their stay despite minor issues.
Several guests noted that the apartment was not as clean as expected, mentioning issues such as crumbs, dust, sticky surfaces, and a need for a deep clean. However, some reviews did find the property clean and comfortable, indicating inconsistency in cleaning standards.
The location is consistently praised for its proximity to the sea, local shops, restaurants, and transport links. Guests love the views and convenience, making it a standout feature of the property.
Guests enjoy the spaciousness, cosy atmosphere, and comfortable beds, but several mention uncomfortable sofas, draughty or stuffy bedrooms, and issues with curtains not blocking light. These factors affect overall comfort but do not overshadow the positive aspects.
The apartment is well-equipped with kitchen amenities, a library, and private parking. However, guests report maintenance issues such as broken furniture, faulty appliances, and a need for updates. The terrace is appreciated but could be better maintained.
There are no specific mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

As the name suggests the apartment is GRAND. It is quite charming with beautiful period details and a fascinating history. As for the location and view it could not be better. Some maintenance issues need sorting out and are mentioned in most reviews. In September the morning sun through the bedroom curtains wasn't a problem but on summer mornings it would not be ideal. We hopefully will return.

We look forward to a return visit to The Grand Parade. It's a stunning apartment within a beautiful and historic building called The Zetland. Many years ago this was a grand hotel and it has been lovingly restored to reflect it's former glory.Despite what we read in some previous reviews we found it to be spacious, comfortable, very clean, well equipped and good value for money. The heating was super efficient, easy to use and fully controlled by guests staying in the apartment. The views of the sea and cliffs are exceptional. The enormous terrace is solely for the use of guests staying at The Grand Parade. The only thing we had difficulty with was the infusion hob which was of a type we had never used before. We found a "You Tube Video" which showed us how to operate it. Some printed instructions left in the apartment would be useful for future guests.
