Lovely stay in a comfortable well equipped house. Perfectly positioned just off the C2C cycle track and a short drive to some of the lesser known Lakeland fells and western coastal paths. Quick mention of the Ennerdale brewery tap for some excellent ales and food and just over 1 mile walk away using the cycle path.

Absolutely perfect location to get out and about! Lakes 10 mins away, mountain s too and beautiful walks! 😄 Great value for money and the property is nice and cool in the summer, area is quiet and not alot of traffic.Hosts are lovely and provided us with so much information in the hand book which was fantastic as well as leaving us wine and treat to get the holiday started which was really appreciated. This place is very dog friendly and clean.Only negatives for us was the beds where to hard so we struggled with sleep ( maybe a personal preference!) and the hot water was abit dodgy and didn't always come through at night when we wanted a bath (again maybe user error 😉). Some of the fencing is abit dodgy too so may need a pre check (Huskys worked out how to get out within 5 mins but easy fix :-) with a few nails.Facilities where great had everything we needed to cook clean ect..We had a fantastic time and a nice doggy break so thank you!

Lovely cottage in a quiet area surrounded by countryside, near to the Lake District and only 15 minutes to the coast. There was everything we needed in the cottage and lots of valuable info in the information folder. The only problem was the toilet cistern overflowed so a bit of a flood drama, but after temporally fixing it, I phoned the local office and the helpful, friendly lady promptly sent a plumber to repair it whilst we were out, so very impressed with the help we received.Overall it is a beautiful and homely cottage in a lovely area.To highlight how much we liked it; we have rebooked for next year 😊
