In the morning, enjoy a brew on the patio in the rear garden, soak in your surroundings and plan the adventures ahead. Explore the artefacts at The Beacon Museum, with fascinating exhibits on the Titanic, interactive exhibits enjoyed by kids, soak in the views across to the harbour, then take a roam around after your trip to the museum.

The Lake District National Park is a short drive away, pack your hiking boots to explore this stunning area of outstanding natural beauty, with picturesque fells and adorable sheep, or squeeze into your wetsuit to take part in the water sports, visit a village pub after the day for a hearty meal to refuel. Explore Saint Bees Head Heritage Coast, a great place for bird spotting, walk along the clifftop coastal paths, visit the sandy shores and indulge in an ice cream with your nearest and dearest. Lingla House is an agreeable base for families and friends exploring the coast of Cumbria and the Lake District National Park.

Frizington is a small rural village in Cumbria on the western edge of the Lake District National Park. The village is known for its lovely 18th century church and it's tasty fish and chip shop. Frizington was historically a collection of farms and houses, but due to mining opportunities in the area, it is now a unified village with three churches, a pub, a pizza shop, a post office doubling as a general store, a primary school and a library. Towards the coast, you can enjoy the marina at Whitehaven which is bustling with shops, bars, eateries, museums and has a train station and golf club, or you can explore Saint Bees Head Heritage Coast which is a clifftop nature reserve and a great spot for birdwatching and walking trails. Alternatively, head into the Lake District where you can challenge yourself to climb Scafell Pike (England's highest peak) or spend a day in one of the lovely countryside villages, such as Nether Wasdale or Ennerdale Bridge which both offer rivers walks, pubs serving food and scenic views. Also in the area, you can take a walk around the ruins of Egremont Castle, enjoy a National Trust tour of Wordsworth House, or take a thrill seeking adventure at Go Ape Whinlatter. Frizington is a great base for enjoying the sweeping Cumbrian coastline and the breathtaking Lake District.
