These two charming holiday properties are set on the owners’ working beef and arable farm, close to the traditional village of Gilcrux on the fringes of the Lake District National Park. Greengill Farm Holiday Cottage (ref UK2768) is a beautiful, semi-detached barn conversion. It has been thoughtfully designed, with each ground floor bedroom having a walk-in shower room, and the living, dining and kitchen area being located on the first floor. The property is beautifully presented and makes a comfortable base to return to after a day exploring the region. There is also the benefit of a private hot tub, which you can sink into with a glass of bubbly! Greengill Farm Shepherd’s Hut (ref UK3632) is ideal for that romantic getaway and is delightfully presented inside. From the comfortable double bed, the hand-made kitchen area and its very own shower room, the property caters for your every need.
Gilcrux, 1 mile, can be reached along a quiet country lane, and you can take a pleasant evening stroll there in summer for a meal or drink in the village pub or bistro. Absolutely gorgeous little hut, spent 5 days here for my partners 30th. We absolutely loved the sheep in the field right next to us and the hot tub was fantastic and despite it being rajny and windy for most of our stay we managed 2 nights in the hot tub and had a bbq on the last night. Unfortunately didn't get the chance to meet the owners as we were out most days visiting family and heading to keswick, Maryport for the aquarium and would highly recommend the fell pack in keswick absolutely beautiful food! The are where we stayed is so nice and peaceful and will will definitely be back in the future to try out the cottages here aswell.

We cannot say thank you enough for a beautiful stay. Emma was friendly and helpful, plus decorated the hut for us in celebration of us getting married 2 days before! Beautiful scenic hut. Great instructions to find and a short drive to some stunning towns. Hot tub was perfect even in December, well equipped hut with everything you need for a short stay. Thank you again!
