It has been tastefully renovated throughout and retains many original features. Providing comfortable accommodation for two guests, the apartment has a beautiful tiled floor in the dining hall, and its very own Monk’s Pew! The original church windows are stunning and are particularly attractive in the raised sitting room. These are just some of the features this stunning apartment offers.

Gretna Green, one of the world’s most popular wedding destinations due to its romantic wedding traditions dating back to the 1700s, is well worth a visit. It is possibly the most romantic village in the UK and has become synonymous with romance and runaway couples. Marriage ceremonies are still performed over a blacksmith’s anvil and Gretna Green attracts thousands of couples from all around the world to be married each year. Ideally placed to not only explore Dumfries and Galloway, it is also within easy reach of the Scottish Borders, Hadrian’s Wall, the fells of the Lake District National Park and much more. 5 Church Square was immaculate and extremely quiet.We were greeted with a smile by such a friendly man, who knew everything about the area.He recommended places to visit that were of interest, and he was very knowledgeable .about the history of the locality and the Lake District.we would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Cosy apartment set inside a converted church with some beautifully preserved features. The owners clearly put thought into their guests comfort, and take pride in their business. Small details, like the welcome gift basket and finding tea and coffee provisions after a long journey, really made our stay. The surrounding area is fairly quiet, but that's great if you're looking to relax and enjoy some beautiful scenery. We will definitely be visiting again
