Please note: There area steps in the grounds.. Moat View oozes quality and is the perfect little bolt hole just ‘for the two of you’ set in the heart of the historic market town of Brampton. Set over two floors, it offers lovely views over the town rooftops and the moat! There is a spacious and beautifully furnished open plan living/dining/kitchen where you can just sit back and relax. The quality continues in the bedroom with its wonderfully comfortable bed with crisp linen bedding and complementing décor. There is a small area to the entrance of Moat View with a small bistro table and a private parking space.
Being in the heart of the town Moat View is only seconds from the main street where you will find a variety of quaint little shops and excellent restaurants and pubs, ideal if you don’t want to cook after your day exploring the beautiful Cumbrian countryside. There is an abundance of attractions close by, probably the most famous, the iconic Hadrian’s Wall. Within a few miles of Moat View you can walk stretches of the wall and enjoy reading the history along the way. Talkin Tarn Country Park just outside the town is beautiful with its 65-acre lake set amid 120 acres of farmland and woodland, the ideal place to enjoy a walk or even try your hand at some boating on the lake.
The beautiful border city of Carlisle is a short 20-minute drive away where you can visit the castle or just take in some retail therapy at some of the high street shops. You can take a short drive over the border to the beautiful beaches of Dumfries and Galloway and the pretty village of Gretna Green. While in Cumbria, however, no stay would be complete without a visit to the stunning Lake District National Park, now a World Heritage Site, with its mountains and lakes and thriving communities like Keswick and Windermere.

Moat View, BramptonThe flat is quite small although more than adequate for two people. Situated above a hairdressing salon , the property is central in the village and very close to all High Street amenities.Surprisingly, the bedroom is quite spacious although not fully utilised due to sloping roof.The property is furnished well and is warm, welcoming and comfortable.The area is a good touring base, particularly if your interest is nature, walking or the Roman Wall.We enjoyed our week immensely, despite a week of showers.There are really only two criteria of importance when submitting a property review. Was the property good value for money and would I come back again. The answer in both cases is a resounding yes and we are already reviewing a return next May.

Lovely place to stay: very close to shops and local pubs and pretty walks nearby. Accommodation is modern and comfortable with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Owners obviously read reviews - one review mentioned lack of coffee plunger and teapot but this issue has been rectified. There are both in the apartment. One definite plus is the water pressure in the shower. Had a lovely stay and will definitely return.
