Completed to an exacting standard in 2022, Chestnuts boasts four large and luxurious bedrooms with sumptuous beds and crisp linen, two with en-suite bathrooms. The very hub of Chestnuts is the sociable living/dining/kitchen space. The stylish modern kitchen caters for the serious cook amongst whilst your friends sit and relax round the large dining table! Bi-fold doors lead from this stunning open plan living space allowing the ’outside’ in. With direct access to the garden dining al fresco on a fine day is perfect.
Chestnuts sits on the edge on the little village of Moorhouse where you can stroll along to the lovely local pub and enjoy a meal or just a drink or two. Close to the border city of Carlisle the perfect location for exploring not only the wonderful Cumbrian countryside but only a short trip over the border into Scotland. With quiet country lanes surrounding you, Chestnuts is ideal for cycling and walking particularly as Hadrian’s Wall passes by so why not wander along some of this iconic landmark.
The stunning Lake District National Park is truly not to be missed while staying at Chestnuts and is only a short drive away where you can enjoy the majestic hills and stunning lakes.

This is an absolutely beautiful house: it is really clean, very modern with lots of space.Two of the bedrooms are en-suite and there is a large main bathroom as well as a downstairs toilet and shower room.The kitchen is really well equipped with plenty of fridge/freezer and storage space.It’s v easy to find, on the edge of a lovely village.The pub in the village is very friendly.Only very slight issue is there is no shop within walking distance- as long as you are prepared for that, I would highly recommend: they left a tray of eggs, bottle of wine and box of biscuits as well.
